Malaysia?s Kuala Lumpur could be an affordable destination for gap year holidaymakers, according to a travel writer.
Contributing for Suite101.com, Lilian Phaik Yeen Loke has noted the capital city as an ideal place for those wishing to not overstretch their budgets. The journalist has advised a number of free things for visitors to do while in the region.
These include a trip to the Petronas Twin Tower Sky Bridge, a 451.9-metres high building that offers "a great view of the city?s skyline" and spending time learning about the country?s artwork in the Galeri Petronas.
Other recommended excursions involve outdoor adventures in Orchid Park, Hibiscus Park and Kuala Lumpur Deer Park, as well as seeing how pewter is made at the Royal Selangor Visitor Centre.
