Airports promote two-way travel

BANGKOK  The Tourism Authority is backing a cooperation agreement signed between the Airports of Thailand and New Kansai International Airport Company Limited to boost two-way travel.
AoT has pledged to promote tourist attractions in the Kansai region of Japan at three of its managed airports; Don Mueang, Phuket and Chiang Mai International Airports.
The announcement did not mention Suvarnabhumi Airport the main aviation gateway to Thailand.
In return NKIAC, which operates Kansai and Osaka International Airports, will promote Thai attractions to Japanese travellers using its two airports.

TAT’s deputy governor for marketing communications Sugree Sithivanich said: “TAT is lending support to AOT by providing relevant promotional materials of Thai tourist destinations and activities, including our 2015 Discover Thainess video presentation.”
“We hope this cooperation will help attract the interest of Japanese travellers, who want to experience the many unique aspects of Thainess; such as Thai boxing, dancing, cooking and the Thai way of life while holidaying in Thailand.”
