PHUKET Phuket Orchid Resort and Spa has invested in an upgrade of facilities to improve the holiday experience for children.
The extensive renovations include two new water slides and fibre optic Wi-Fi throughout the resort.
The renovation will be completed, 1 November, in time for Phuket’s high season.
The improvements include the addition of two 12 metre and 7.5 metre water slides to the main pool, one of three expansive lagoon pools at the resort.
inside no 9All rooms at the 524-room resort, located a short walk from Karon beach, have also undergone a refurbishment with the final 100 rooms set to be completed by late October.
Other upgrades include the installation of a state-of-the-art high-speed optical Wi-Fi system throughout the hotel.
“We are delighted to complete our upgrades ahead of the high season so that we can optimise the guest experience here and add a healthy dose of outdoors fun and enjoyment for all families and children,” said Phuket Orchid Resort & Spa General Manager Philip Raiss.
Owned and operated by Kata Group Resorts Thailand, the resort is located on Karon Beach in the heart of its shopping, dining and entertainment district a few minutes walk from the beach.
Kata Group Resorts Thailand owns and operates six resorts in southern Thailand. Its other properties are Beyond Resort Khaolak in Phang Nga, Beyond Resort Krabi, Beyond Resort Karon in Phuket, Kata Beach Resort & Spa and Kandaburi Resort & Spa in Koh Samui.
The resort group, with a 35-year tourism track record, is poised for a listing on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 2017.
