BANGKOK The 299-room Best Western Premier Genting Ion Delemen opens at Genting Highlands, this October.

The property, located at 1,524 m above sea level boasts spectacular views of the valleys from its vantage point in the forested Genting Highlands in the Selangor region of the Malay Peninsula.

Booking.com offers a rate of THB2,946 for a one-night stay in mid October. The rate is discounted during October from THB4,131.

inside no 7Booking.com says “Best Western Premier Genting Ion Delemen has been welcoming Booking.com guests since 1 Jun 2016.”

A misleading statement as the hotel has yet to open.

But the site negotiates that snag by saying “we are sold out on your dates,” when you attempt to book a room in September.

The brand new hotel is on the doorstep of multiple attractions, at Genting such as Chin Swee Cave Temple and Genting’s Resorts World, which features a large theme park, stage shows, a casino and Malaysia’s longest cable car ride.

In addition, two large retails malls are due to open in the area later this year, and the world’s first 20th Century Fox theme park is scheduled to welcome visitors in 2017.

Best Western Premier Genting Ion Delemen is owned by Ion Delemen Hospitality Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the NCT Group of Companies.

The hotel offers variety of rooms, ranging from studios to one, two and three-bedroom suites, all featuring separate living areas, bedrooms and kitchenettes.

Rooms are fitted with 42-inch flat-screen TVs, international power outlets and complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as spacious bathrooms and large windows that overlook the Titiwangsa hills.

The property has six restaurants and bars, a heated swimming pool, spa, fitness centre, children’s play area, and conferences facilities.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts currently operates three hotels in Malaysia, located in Shah Alam, Petaling Jaya and Ipoh. Best Western Premier Genting Ion Delemen will become the company’s second hotel in the central mountains of the Malay Peninsula, following Best Western Premier The Haven Ipoh.

Booking.com calls the property its “top pick at Genting Highlands, a gem within the Titiwangsa Mountains.”

The nearest airport is Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, approximately 222 km away.
