HANOI La Vela Cruises, a Halong Bay overnight cruise company has partnered with Korean tour operator and Samsung Group affiliate, Sejoong Vietnam, to sell cruises to Korean travellers.
Under the agreement, Hanoi-based Sejoong Vietnam will be the exclusive seller of La Vela Cruises in the Korean market, which accounted for more than 1.2 million visitors to Vietnam over the first 10 months of the year.
Only China accounted for more.
“Vietnam’s tourism market is rapidly growning and Korean travellers are playing a big role in that movement,” said Sejoong Vietnam general director, Kim Dong Hwi. “With La Vela entering the premium cruising market this year, now is the time to work together.”
Staffed predominantly by corporate travel specialists, Sejoong Vietnam will focus on corporate accounts as well as MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferencing, Exhibitions) and individual travellers.
“We are excited to work with Sejoong Vietnam and welcome all Korean tourists to experience La Vela Cruises,” said La Vela Cruises general manager, Jade Karam. “Our responsibility is to promote Vietnam and Halong Bay as preferred destinations to Korean tourists and change their travel behaviour towards overnight cruises.”
La Vela Cruises core business are its Halong Bay cruises using the 24-cabin La Vela Classic and the 21-cabin La Vela Premium.
La Vela Cruises offers one- and two-night cruises and is managed by Paradise Group.
