HO CHI MINH CITY Ho Chi Minh City authorities have decided to go ahead and build the Sai Gon Cultural and Tourism Village to attract more locals and foreign visitors.
Vietnam Net Bridges reported that city authorities have approved a plan to develop the attractions at a site in the Tan Thang Sports Complex and a residential area in Son Ky Ward of Tan Phu District.
Sai Gon Cultural and Tourism Village, will feature the cultural diversity of north, central and south Vietnam.
The project will focus on the 300 years of history of Sai Gon – Ho Chi Minh City, with waterway landscapes featuring the river ports and docks that were used by vessels that transported goods from the Mekong Delta.
Tan Phu District People’s Committee was told to map out plans clear the site and relocate households in th residential area to make way for the project.
