BANGKOK Best Western Hotels & Resorts has opened an upscale hotel on the Indonesian island of Batam, just a short ferry ride from Singapore.

Best Western Premier Panbil is located in Batam’s Panbil Industrial Estate, a major commercial and residential area 14 km from Hang Nadim Airport and 15 km from the International Ferry Terminal.

The high-rise hotel offers 233 rooms and suites, all of which feature floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase stunning views of Batam and the Malacca Strait.

Hotel facilities include an outdoor pool, spa and a fitness centre.

The hotel features a ground floor restaurant providing local and international dishes and a rooftop restaurant with panoramic views of the city.

Best Western Premier Panbil has extensive function space including a large ballroom. Corporate guests can also take advantage of professional services at the business centre, and Wi-Fi is free-of-charge throughout the hotel.

“With its close proximity to Singapore and status as a free trade zone, Batam has experienced incredible growth in recent years,” said, Best Western’s managing director of international operations – Asia, Olivier Berrivin. “It is now a major economic gateway to Indonesia and the broader ASEAN region, and we are delighted to be able to provide Batam’s rising number of visitors with a new international upscale hotel that showcases the very best of our brand.”
