Travel agents and media from Asean tour Malaysia

More than 100 travel agents and members of the media from Asean recently participated in a week-long programme dubbed 'Make It Malaysia 2011'. It was organised by Tourism Malaysia in efforts to further promote tourism in Malaysia.
The programme consisted of different choices of tour within Kuala Lumpur including the KL City Tour, Putrajaya Tour, and Culture, Craft and Shopping tour, which were aimed at giving the participants the experience of various attractions in Kuala Lumpur such as the KL Twin Tower, Putrajaya - the federal administrative centre of Malaysia and various Malaysian culture and crafts.
The participants then went on a post-tour to destination of choice to either Sabah, Sarawak, Penang, Langkawi or Malacca to experience the sights and scenes of each destination, accompanied by experienced tour guides for each respective city telling the participants unique stories and folklore from the state of choice.
Following the post-tour was an appreciation dinner where each participant of the different destinations presented and shared their experiences throughout their post-tour stay. The best group presentation won an exclusive photo book about wood in Malaysia.
