Director of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHTO) says regional potentials should be used to accelerate tourism growth in Asia.
“We must focus on regional potentials as an effective way to promote tourism and as a means of International convergence to reach a sustainable development in tourism,” Rouhollah Ahmadzadeh-Kermani said in a meeting on the sidelines of 19th meeting of United Nations World Tourism Organization General Assembly in Gyeongju, South Korea.
Ahmadzadeh-Kermani met his Russian, South Korean and Indian counterparts during separate meetings, IRNA reported.

The 19th general Assembly meeting of UNTO was held from October 8 to 14, 2011, hosting high ranking delegations from 160 countries.
Ahmadzadeh-Kermani was also elected as a member of the Assembly's Board of Directors.
