Japan Airlines announced on Friday it had expanded its codeshare partnership with British Airways to include 13 new routes.
The codeshare on nine routes will start from March 28 this year while the remaining four will begin April 28.
JAL said all codeshare routes will be in the European region and will include destinations such as Madrid and Barcelona in Spain, Berlin and Munich in Germany, Brussels, Geneva and several other cities in Northern Europe.
The oneworld members will also codeshare on flights to Athens, marking a return to the destination by JAL after 20 years.
JAL said it was in discussions with BA to ?further augment their bilateral partnership beyond codeshare arrangements? which will most likely see a new product offered by the carriers.
With the 13 new codeshare flights, the total number of codeshare flights within the United Kingdom and within Europe between JAL and BA will be 23.
