Festive season greetings

BANGKOK, 21 December 2012: TTR Weekly wishes all of its readers a very happy festive season.

We take a break for Christmas, 24 to 26 December and resume our daily news 27 December through to the New Year.

This mega holiday season that lasts more than a week in countries that celebrate Christmas and New Year with a gusto, is the best time of the year to tour North Thailand. You can catch Thailand’s short “winter,” which is really a mild spring for Europeans and North Asian visitors. But it is the one time of the year when we can shake out our wool jumpers and enjoy a shiver on the mountain tops of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai provinces.

Whether you head for the hills or beaches take care on the roads and have lots of fun. 2013 is just around the corner probably with many challenges and surprises for the region’s tourism business.
