Abacus and Firefly strike partnership

Abacus International and Firefly Airlines have entered a Global Distribution Service (GDS) partnership, Abacus announced today.

Passengers will be able to book their travel on Firefly through all 15,000 Abacus-connected travel agency locations with immediate effect.

Managing Director of Firefly, Mr Eddy Leong, said the distribution deal with Abacus was an important strategic decision for the community-based airline.

?As we are working with our parent company, Malaysian Airlines, on an expansion programme, it is vital that we have reliable and broad-reaching distribution channels. Abacus provides us the best reach in the Asian region,? said Mr Leong.
