Cambodia and Qatar sign MOU of direct flight

Cambodia and Qatar will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of direct flight, a senior Cambodian official said.

Xinhua reported that Cambodian Foreign Minister Hor Nam Hong made the remarks after Qatar Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport to pay an official visit to the kingdom.

The MOU signals plans for a direct flight from Qatar to the Phnom Penh International Airport, said Moa Havannal, Secretary of State for the Secretariat of Cambodian Civil Aviation. He also said that later there may be flights to other airports.

"We [are expanding] the direct flight service with Qatar to attract tourists and investors to our country," he said.
