Singapore has returned to the top spot of Best Airport in the World, according to Skytrax voters, after slipping to third last year and ousting the 2009 winner of Incheon in South Korea.
Asian Airports dominated the top 20, with the top three airports being Singapore, Seoul and Hong Kong, and six airports in the top ten were found in Asia.
"This was yet again an extremely competitive survey, and with over 9.8 million completed survey interviews, it was a very close finish with Singapore Changi edging ahead from Incheon International Airport, to take the 2010 title as World's Best Airport," said Edward Plaisted, Skytrax Chairman.
Of the award, Lee Seow Hiang, Changi Airport Group CEO, remarked, "We are honoured to receive the Skytrax World's Best Airport award and thank everyone for their vote of confidence."
Several European airports made the list, including Munich at number four, Zurich at number six, Amsterdam at number seven, and Helsinki at number 14.
Vancouver was the number one North American airport coming in at number 11, while San Francisco was the only United States airport to make the top 20, scraping in at number 20.
