As planned, Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, successfully arrived yesterday at Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport (SAI) to commence connecting flights between Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and Siem Reap, Cambodia.
The first flight reception was presided over by Dr Mao Havannall, Minister in Charge of the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA). Officials from relevant ministries and the private sector attended, along with the leadership of Emirates Airlines.
The addition of Emirates flights to Cambodia is expected to enhance the implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA), thereby marking a new era of trade and investment collaboration between Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates.
By operating flights to Siem Reap, Emirates aims to attract more tourists to Cambodia from its global network, thereby creating additional opportunities for trade and enhancing connectivity for travellers from Cambodia to Dubai and beyond.
Emirates operates three flights a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, connecting Siem Reap to Dubai via Bangkok.
